An International non-governmental, and non-profit organization which has no political association working in various fields of humanitarian relief and development. IYD was established in early 2013 and obtained licenses in multiple countries under the name
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The overall objective of the training is to strengthen the Communication Skills for the staff, help them improve their ability to communicate effectively with others. It covers a wide range of soft skills, including verbal and nonverbal communication, active listening, conflict resolution, public speaking, and more.

- Personal Growth: Communication skills contribute to personal development. They enable self-expression, active listening, and empathy.
- Public Speaking: Effective communication is vital for public speaking, presentations, and influencing others.
SCOPE OF WORK
TThe assignment is to impart 5 working days in Communication Skills and how will further utilize the skills learnt.
From 26 to 30- August 2024
The training is aimed to achieve following objectives:
- Improving Active Listening Skills: Enhancing understanding and response to verbal communication. For instance, you can focus on active listening by summarizing key points after discussions to ensure accurate comprehension.
- Enhancing Nonverbal Communication Awareness: Increasing understanding of body language and tone.
- Mastering Persuasive Communication: Developing the ability to convey messages clearly and persuasively.
- Conflict Resolution Skills: Learning how to manage disagreements and navigate conflicts constructively. This involves active listening, empathy, and finding win-win solutions.
- Effective Written Communication: Improving skills in writing clear, concise, and impactful emails, reports, and other written documents.
- Presentation Skills: Enhancing the ability to deliver engaging and informative presentations. This includes structuring content, using visual aids effectively, and managing nerves.
- Cross-Cultural Communication: Understanding cultural differences and adapting communication styles accordingly.

METHODOLOGY:
- Deliver using a blended learning approach and might comprises of presentations, interactive sessions of practical exercise and group works.
- Practical sessions using case, individual or group exercises will be given to participants after each session to make sure that they can apply what they have learnt into practice immediately.
- Participatory training methods such as brainstorming, simulation, group discussion and case analysis.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
Following deliverables are expected from the training provider:
- The trainer will prepare agenda/contents/sessions of the training and submit these at least one week before start of the training.
- The trainer shall conduct pre-test from all participants of the training.
- The trainer will also share complete package of training material that may be provided to the participants.
- Trainer will facilitate preparation of training follow up and action plan
- After the completion of the training, the trainer will share comprehensive training report on the agreed format within 10 days after the completion of the training.
LOCATION:
The location will be in Turkey Gaziantep, at the office.
TIMEFRAME
This is a short-term assignment for Firms/ consultants based in Turkey for a period of 5 days training from 26 to 30/Aug/2024
LANGUAGE
- Language of speak during the training: Arabic with using some English terms.
- Language of the training files: English.
- Language of discussion: Arabic.
DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The trainer/consultant/resource person will:
- Sign with IYD a consultancy agreement and work as a resource person for the days training event.
- Discuss and agree with IYD on the final training package, content and deliverables.
- Design an appropriate process of the training leading to the desired results.
- Propose on the most appropriate training methodology for effective delivery of the assignment.
- Device the tools required for each session of the training.
- Satisfactorily facilitate the training sessions and ensuring active engagement of all the participants.
- Share relevant training materials and provide any resource materials for further reading and reference by IYD staff.
- Design a questionnaire for pre and post-test (to be used before and after the workshop) for workshops to gauge the level of understanding of the participants about the topics discussed in the training workshop.
- Compile and submit quality training report (one soft copy).
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
The resource person/consultant should possess following qualifications and expertise:
- Minimum university degree in Social Science, Communication, Education, Business, or other relevant field. [20 points].
- Professional Experience: Experience in strategic management roles within reputable organizations. [20 points]
- Strong understanding of effective training methodologies and tools. [15 points]
- Demonstrated high level of professionalism and an ability to work independently and in high pressure situations under tight deadlines [15 points]
- Strong communication, analytical and drafting skills. [10 points]
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Consultant/resource person/ firms are required to submit their technical and financial proposals the IYD HR department on given link.
TECHINCAL PROPOSAL: with weight 80%
The technical proposal should include but not limited to the following information:
- A brief outline of recent experience and client references in carrying out assignments of similar nature (Max. 1 pages)
- Detailed description of how the consultant/firms understands and will respond to the ToR including time frame and number of persons involved in and comments on the ToR (Max 2 pages)
- CV/Resume of Trainer
FINANCIAL PROPOSAL: with weight 20%
The financial proposal must contain overall quotation in Turkish Lira (TRY) for all the services to be provided and must follows the following:
- An all-inclusive day rate who will take place in assignment
- Summary of the total costs for the services proposed
- Any taxes applicable
- Bank account
- Valid date for the quotation.
PROPOSED PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
100% of the payment will be released to the trainer one week after completing the training.
