Job Purpose:

The IT intern provides technical support and assistance to the team within the organization. The IT intern’s primary responsibility will be to help ensure the smooth functioning of the operation systems, networks, and related technologies, troubleshoots technical issues and maintains the overall functionality of devices and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to implement the IT strategy.
  • Implement the monthly plan of the IT Department in coordination with the line manager.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
  • Providing technical support across the organization.
  • Setting up accounts, computers, printers, and peripherals for new users.
  • Repairing and replacing the tech equipment as necessary.
  • Support in conducting orientation sessions for staff members.
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies.
  • Support in designing and implementing an attractive, user-friendly, and functional website for the organization.
  • Support in developing and maintaining the current information systems.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • Associate degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related.
    • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or other industry-recognized certifications can be beneficial.
    • Familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and network protocols is desirable.
    • Experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Knowledge of data backup and recovery procedures, as well as IT security best practices, is beneficial.
    • Native Arabic language with very good writing and speaking skills in English.
Desirable:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Prior experience in a similar IT support role is preferred.
