Job Purpose:

Ensuring the application and adherence to the financial policies and procedures followed by the IYD and Donors, also ensuring the accuracy and quality of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recording transactions on accounting software and tracking system.
  • Assist in reviewing the supporting documents of financial transactions.
  • Assist in ensuring that all transactions comply with the organization’s policy and donor requirements.
  • Assist in tracking petty cash expenses and custodies.
  • Prepare day-to-day financial payment vouchers for all financial transactions.
  • Attending the meetings of tender’s financial committees upon the request of the management
  • Assist in the qualification of newly joined cadres to the financial team.
  • Completion of the process of payments to suppliers based on exchange orders and receipt of insurance according to the approved directions and proofs.
  • To perform any other tasks and jobs as and when required by the line manager/management.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • Bachelor Bachelor’s or institute Degree in business administration, or Economics or related fields.
    • Work experience in the finance sector for at least 2 years (1 of them are in relief organizations).
    • Ability to work extra hours outside working hours when necessary
    • Good knowledge in written and spoken English
    • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
    • Time management and interpersonal skills.
    • The ability to work in a systematic and organized manner
Desirable:
    • MBA or master’s degree in business administration, or related fields.
    • More than two years of progressive professional experience two of them with NGOs
