Job Purpose:

Managing and supervising all project activities, developing and implementing work plans, effectively coordinating the implementation of project activities to ensure the achievement of the project’s objectives and outputs following the project agreements, and ensuring the achievement of the stipulated humanitarian standards and avoiding causing any harm to the target communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the project team by following the policies and procedures of IYD and ensuring that each team member carries out the tasks optimally assigned to him.
  • Develop detailed implementation plans for the project to be implemented within the specified time, directly supervise their implementation and submit reports on them periodically.
  • Preparing and submitting periodic narrative reports on activities, numbers of beneficiaries, and expenditures to the project management in Turkey.
  • Review studies and technical specifications for project activities and discuss them with the sector coordinator to be approved.
  • Coordination with operations departments (purchasing – financial – logistical – human resources) to achieve project activities within the specified plan.
  • Work in an integrated manner with the Monitoring and Evaluation Department to achieve project indicators according to the project’s log framework.
  • Review all issues related to the challenges and difficulties that occurred during implementation, and find appropriate solutions to them in coordination with the Turkey office and the sector coordinator.
  • Setting the mechanism for archiving and documenting project activities and sending periodic reports.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
    • More than one year of professional experience in SNFI projects.
Desirable:
    • Master’s degree in civil engineering (Water, structural, topography)
    • More than two years of experience in the SNFI sector.
    • Good command of English.

    • Good Experience in AutoCAD.
