Job Purpose:

Responsible for supervising all child protection activities by developing plans and following up on the implementation, following up on case management services with in-depth technical supervision, achieving effective management of child protection cases by providing continuous support and guidance to case managers, organizing case management meetings, and updating the service mapping, with adhering to the principles of case management and child safeguarding policy. Responsible for building the team’s capabilities by developing plans and following up on training, as well as attending trainings and training non-specialists..

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide continuous support and guidance to child protection case managers
  • Schedulise and facilitate case management meetings at least once a week with all case management staff, review cases, and discuss solutions
  • Ensure that complex cases are followed up on the agreed time
  • Lead the updating of the service mapping on a monthly basis
  • Conduct a case satisfaction assessment based on case consent
  • Attend the closure session or at least sign the closure papers after verifying that they have reached the objectives or justifications for closure in accordance with the case management standards
  • Ensure that case managers are committed to documenting case files for each child separately and updating files continuously according to plan
  • Ensure the commitment of case managers in applying the principles of case management, especially the best interest of the child in every process, plan, and stage of work in case management
  • Provide support and counseling services for children, parents, and caregivers
  • Ensure respect for confidentiality and privacy of cases and files for each case following case management standards
  • Perform any other tasks assigned to the supervisor or project manager concerning case management.
  • Respect and apply all principles of protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and the child safeguarding policy, and the commitment to report any sexual exploitation or abuse incident or any violating of the child safeguarding policy.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • University degree in education or psychological counseling or any certificate related to the educational specialization / or an institute or secondary certificate with the practice of working as a case manager for 2 years at least, and as a case management supervisor for 1 year at least.
    • Work experience in protection programs within humanitarian organizations.
    • Previous background in case management and case management.
    • High communication skills in conducting individual interviews.
    • Training skills in protection topics.
    • Qualifications to supervise or manage protection teams.
    • The ability to organize plans and works within specific dates.
    • Ability to withstand the stress of working with children.
Desirable:
    • More than three years of professional experience in the same position.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
