Job Purpose:

Raising legal awareness among various segments of society about civil status and housing, land and property issues by providing legal awareness sessions, in addition to facilitating and enhancing the processes of documentation and obtaining legal documents, also providing legal support and individual and group consultations through organizing special sessions for women, men and children. They will also work to monitor cases and prepare periodic reports, with full commitment to child protection principles and the child protection policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal awareness including civil status documents, housing, land, and property issues.
  • Provide clarifications on the importance of documentation, the steps and procedures for obtaining and recording incidents, and the legal risks associated with receiving and saving these documents.
  • Provide special legal awareness sessions for women, men, and children.
  • Provide individuals with information about legal questions and inquiries related to CSD and HLP.
  • Support the team leader in updating the legal service mapping.
  • Conducting legal research on administrative procedures and associated risks.
  • Monitoring, receiving, and registering cases to provide legal support or advice.
  • Prepare weekly reports and collect data.
  • Contribute to developing plans for implementing legal sessions.
  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of cases and files for each case following the standards of preserving information in case management.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor or project manager concerning psychological support.
  • Respect and apply all principles of protection from sexual exploitation and abuse and the child protection policy, and the adherence to report any incident of sexual exploitation or abuse or any violation of the child protection policy.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • Law degree.
    • Work experience in legal awareness and consultation for at least 3 years.
    • Familiarity with basic training such as facilitation skills and dealing with individual cases.
Desirable:
    • Excellent skills in working on computer programs (Word – Excel – Email).
    • Legal skills: Understand civil status laws and procedures, housing, and land issues.
    • Deep awareness of social and economic issues affecting the individual and society.
