Job Purpose:

Provide effective protection for children at risk and achieve comprehensive care through specialized case management, focusing on effective assessment and rapid intervention, also aims to make a positive impact on the lives of children and ensure respect for all protection principles and child safeguarding policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and receive child protection cases and register them according to case management standards.
  • Conduct initial and full case assessments to determine the response or intervention plan for each case.
  • Develop case management plans that meet the needs of the identified cases, and conduct comprehensive assessments.
  • Implement the case plan according to the specified dates, following up the implementation steps, evaluating and reorganize them if needed in coordination with the supervisor.
  • Refer children and families to other services if needed based on the plan.
  • Conduct a case final assessment after receiving the services specified in the plan to close the case.
  • Close cases according to case management standards.
  • Documenting the case files for each child separately and updating the files continuously according to the plan.
  • Ensure the best interest of the child in every process, stage, and plan of the work in case management.
  • Providing support and counseling services for children, parents and caregivers.
  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of cases and files related to each case following case management standards.
  • Implement any other tasks assigned by the supervisor or project manager regarding case management.
  • Respect and apply all principles of protection from sexual exploitation and abuse and the child protection policy, and the committment to report any incident of sexual exploitation or abuse or any violation of the child protection policy.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • University degree in education or psychological counseling or any certificate related to the educational specialization /or an institute or high school certificate and working as a case manager for 2 years at least.
    • Work experience in protection programs in the humanitarian organizations (one year at least).
    • Previous case management background (one year at least).
    • High communication skills in conducting individual interviews.
    • The ability to organize plans and works within specific dates.
    • Ability to withstand the stress of working with children.
Desirable:
    • More than three years of work experience in the same position.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Experience in working with survivors of GBV and working in mental health and psychosocial support (an added advantage).
