Job Purpose:

The Information Technology (IT) Senior Officer will play a critical role in supporting the design and implementation of information systems to facilitate the flow of program-related data. The primary aim is to enhance information management, reporting, and progress tracking for efficient operations and decision-making. Additionally, he/she will provide IT support to all employees and departments, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office.

Key Responsibilities:
Information Systems Design, Development, and Maintaining:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and develop information systems accordingly.
    • Design, implement, and update databases, data collection tools, and storage mechanisms to improve information management, aligned with organizational and IT standards.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by conducting regular quality checks, implementing validation protocols, and staying up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users for efficient utilization of information systems.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and confidentiality guidelines while handling sensitive information.
    • Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
IT Support:
    • Offer comprehensive IT support to all employees and departments within the organization.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, resolve technical problems and ensure the smooth functioning of office equipment.
    • Assist in setting up new workstations, installing, configuring software, and providing training on IT tools as needed.
    • Collaborate with external vendors or service providers to address complex IT issues and maintain a secure IT infrastructure.
Website Management:
    • Manage and maintain the IYD website, ensuring its accuracy, relevance, and functionality.
    • Regularly update and publish content, including news, events, reports, and other relevant information.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and incorporate feedback, ensuring the website meets the organization’s objectives.
    • Monitor website analytics and use insights to improve user experience and maximize the website’s impact.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, or a related field.
    • Minimum Three years of Proven experience in IT, database design, and system implementation.
    • Minimum Three years of proficiency in programming languages, database management systems, and data analysis tools, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, and Windows applications, with C# and SQL Server.
    • Native Arabic language with excellent writing and speaking skills in English.
Desirable:
    • Master’s degree in computer science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Five years of Proven experience in the essential qualifications requested above.

    • Proven experience and strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and networking.
    • Excellent writing and speaking skills in English.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Adaptable, able to respond to emergencies, and work under pressure.
    • Problem solver.
    • Good analysis skills.
