Job Purpose:

This position concentrates on the implementation of the project and monitoring all WASH and SNFI works under the project’s process. Conducting the technical assessments of needs and technical specifications of the project.   

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision of project activities to be completed with the required quality, in timeline and plans.
  • Re-evaluate and update the needs and study of the technical specifications of the project.
  • Ensure that the project plans match the field implementation and report defects if any.
  • Cooperation with other sectors in the field, such as monitoring, media, logistical, procurement, and other sectors.
  • Conducting field visits to ensure that the project activities are implemented in accordance with the IYD’s policies and procedures, within required quality and time.
  • Handling the complaints from the project beneficiaries.
  • Supervision on subcontractors’ work acceptance and their conformity with the required specifications.
  • Attendance of daily and weekly meetings and ensuring that the outcomes of these meetings are accurately implemented.
  • Execution of any tasks requested by the direct manager.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Civil, Architecture, Electricity, or Mechanics.
    • Three years of professional experience in WASH and Shelter projects.
    • Good level of English.
Desirable:
    • Master’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Architecture) or related fields.
    • More than four years of experience in WASH and shelter projects.

    • Design application tools (AutoCAD).
    • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
