Job Purpose:

Responding to cases of gender-based violence and providing the required case management services in a manner that ensures easy access for survivors to appropriate and timely services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and registering survivors of gender-based violence in accordance with case management standards.
  • Conduct initial and full assessments of the cases to determine the response or intervention plan for each case.
  • Develop case management plans according to a survivor-centered approach that meets the needs identified in risks and comprehensive assessments.
  • Implementation of the case plan according to the specified dates with follow-up and evaluation of the implementation steps and re-design when needed with the supervisor’s support.
  • Refer survivors to other services when needed and according to the plan.
  • Conducting a final evaluation of the case after receiving the specified services within the plan to reach a decision to close the case.
  • Close cases according to case management standards.
  • Documenting the case files for each case separately and updating the files continuously according to the plan.
  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of the cases and the files of each case in accordance with the standards for keeping the information in case management.
  • Coordination with the technical supervisor to discuss sensitive and high-risk cases.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • A university degree in education, psychology, or in a field closely related to the required work.
    • Work experience in managing cases of GBV survivors for at least two years.
    • Full knowledge of basic and additional training such as managing cases of GBV, and studying the risks and types of GBV.
    • Good background in dealing with the target group.
    • Familiarity with and commitment to humanitarian standards.
Desirable:
    • Master’s degree in psychology or Social Sciences.
    • More than three years of professional experience in the same position.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
