Job Purpose:

This position will focus on participating in the design, implementation of the project, and monitoring of all WASH work under this project. Collecting the new needs and study of the technical specifications of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the engineer in the project activities to be completed with the required quality and timeline, and plans.
  • Assist in evaluating and updating the needs and study of the project’s technical specifications.
  • Ensure that the project plans match the ground implementation and report any defects if it happens.
  • Cooperating with other teams on the field, such as the monitoring, media, logistical, procurement, and other teams.
  • Assist in supervising the receipt of works from the contractors and their conformity with the required specifications.
  • Handling the complaints from the project beneficiaries.
  • Implementing the direct Supervisor requirements and requests.
  • Conduct field trips to ensure that the project activities are implemented according to the Authority’s policies and procedures and with the required quality and time.
  • Attending the meetings of the water, sanitation, shelter, and non-food items sectors inside Syria and ensuring that the authority is effectively represented in these meetings as required.
  • Any other work that his line manager may request.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, an intermediate engineering institute, or related fields.
    • At least one year of experience in the same field
Desirable:
    • Knowledge of English is an advantage.
