Job Purpose:

The purpose of the position of Senior WASH Project Officer is to contribute specific technical competencies to the implementation of the project. This job entails administrative responsibility for the staff and leading the project with high technical and administrative efficiency towards achieving the objectives stipulated in the agreement and in the project’s general logical framework

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly implementation plans for the project jointly with the project officers and the rest of the team members and share them with all departments and departments.
  • Preparing the weekly and monthly reports issued by the field teams and submitting them to the direct manager.
  • Provide basic and detailed information to the coordinator while preparing the memorandum of understanding.
  • Assisting in solving the main problems and challenges facing implementation plans with all stakeholders from beneficiaries, local councils, local authorities, camp management, suppliers … etc.
  • Effective coordination to serve the implementation of the project activities smoothly and smoothly, according to written plans, and to form a link with all supporting departments related to the project (financial, resources, mail, logistical…)
  • Supporting and assisting the field coordinator and project managers in the head office in preparing new ideas and proposals in order to present them to partners and supporters, and constantly searching for new needs and new proposals to serve the organization’s strategy and its subsidiary operational plans.
  • Contribute to building the capacity of the project team internally by evaluating their training needs and discussing them with management and human resources.
  • Conducting field tours to ensure that the project activities are implemented in accordance with the Authority’s policies and procedures, with the required quality and time.
  • Ensuring the conformity and implementation of the general plans of the project and reporting any defect if it occurs.
Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education – Work Experience):
Essential:
    • Bachelor’s or institute degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.
    • Three tears at least of progressive professional WASH & Shelter
    • Advanced level in English.
Desirable:
    • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Water, structural, topography) or related fields.
    • More than Five years of progressive professional WASH & Shelter experience.
